In 1966, the town of Chernushka was formed from the settlement of Chernushka, which was literally 4 courtyards and was founded by settlers from under Cherdyn back in 1854, which 40 years later, as a result of local government reform, became the administrative center of the Chernushinsky urban settlement.

This industrial center of the Perm Region is located in the south of the Russian Federation and is represented by enterprises in the oil, processing and construction industries. To be even more precise, Chernushka is located on the flat-hilly Urals in the eastern part of the Buisk wavy plain in the zone of broad-leaved coniferous forests on the spurs of the Tulva upland, which are familiar with anthropogenic impact firsthand.

The climate here is temperate continental with long winters and very hot summers. The daily and annual temperature differences are quite significant. The Kazan-Yekaterinburg railway, built in 1913-1929, played a significant role in the development of this city, and the railway station and the pier settlement were built very close — three to four kilometers from the former village of Chernushka. And of course, an important stage in development was the discovery of numerous oil fields.
