Kropotkin is a small town in the Krasnodar Territory, known for its calm and quiet atmosphere, as well as its rich history. The Kuban River flows through it. The city is located at a distance of 145 km from Krasnodar.

Transport in Kropotkin

The M29 Kavkaz Rostov—Baku highway and the R251 Temryuk— Krasnodar—Kropotkin—Stavropol highway pass through the city. Trains depart from the Kavkazskaya railway station in the following directions: Armavir-Rostovsky, Nevinnomysskaya, Mineralnye Vody, Ust-Labinsk, Krasnodar, Tikhoretsk, Bataysk, Rostov, Svetlograd, Elista.

The city has a developed food industry, mechanical engineering, production of building materials and light industry.

What to see in Kropotkin

In Kuban, it is one of the most well-maintained and green cities. There are so many greenery in Kropotkin that it is second only to Anapa in terms of the number of green spaces. The year of the city's foundation was 1771, when the Kavkazskaya fortress was built there to defend the southern Russian border.

Today, Kropotkin is a major transport hub in the Kuban. Therefore, it is not surprising that its main attraction is the railway station, which was opened at the beginning of the last century. Since the last centuries, another building has been preserved – the Holy Protection Cathedral of the 19th century. In total, there are 36 buildings in the city that are architectural monuments.
