Kudymkar is a city of regional subordination, the administrative center of the district of the same name in the Perm Territory of the Russian Federation (Privolzhsky District). Kudymkar is located in the northeast of the East European Plain (eastern spurs of the Verkhnekamsk upland), in the western part of the Perm Territory, on the Inva River (right tributary of the Kama River, bas. Volga River), 201 km northwest of the regional center – Perm.

Transport in Kudymkar

Transport: there is a bus station, the main road connection is the A–153 Perm-Gainy highway (bypassing the eastern outskirts), the Kudymkar–Maykop highway and local roads. The nearest railway station is Mendeleevo, 104 km to the north, Kirov—Perm line. The settlement has been known since 1579, when the Komi-Permian lands were annexed to the Moscow state.

The history of Kudymkar

The village of Kudymkar began its development only under Soviet rule as the center of the national district (1925), since 1931 — the status of an urban—type settlement and a city - since 1938. Currently, Kudymkar, with a population of 31 thousand people, covers an area of 25.3 square kilometers, residents are engaged in agricultural production and processing of agricultural products. The economy is represented by food industry enterprises.
