The capital of the Republic of Tyva (or Tuva), which is located in Russia, is the city of Kyzyl. The city was named after the indigenous people who have long inhabited the territory of this region. The city's history has been counted since 1914, when the city was called Belotsarsk, in 1918 it was renamed Khem-Beldyr, and since 1926 it became Kyzyl. The city is located at the place where 2 rivers merge - the Big Yenisei and the Small Yenisei, forming the Upper Yenisei. Kyzyl is geographically located in the center of Asia.
