Murmansk is one of the northern settlements in Russia, located beyond the Arctic Circle. Murmansk is the capital of the Murmansk region of Russia. The Murmansk seaport does not freeze and is one of the largest in the Russian Federation. Severomorsk, which is the base of the Russian Northern Fleet, is located next to Murmansk.
