Nevinnomyssk is a settlement in the region of the Pre–Caucasus, which is located at the picturesque confluence of two large rivers: Bolshoy Zelenchuk and Kuban.
The distance from Nevinnomyssk to Stavropol is 55 km. It is believed that the name of the city is formed from the phrase "innocent cape", where a bloody massacre once took place. In memory of the innocent victims who were killed, the educated city received such a name.

Of the religious monuments, the Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin, built in the 20th century and recently rebuilt, can be called a real decoration.
