Yeysk is one of the resort towns of Russia, which is located on the shore of the Sea of Azov. Compared to other cities in Russia, it is relatively young, as it appeared on the map by decree of Tsar Nicholas II in the 19th century. Then it began to be inhabited by residents of the nearest regions, and Yeysk itself quickly turned into a major port of the Sea of Azov. The city was named after the river Yeya.
